The LAYERED x Collina Strada collection brings together two creative worlds: the expressive fashion of the New York-based label Collina Strada and the artisanal craftsmanship of LAYERED. The result is a series of hand-tufted wool rugs that combine spontaneous shapes, bold patterns, and rich textile textures.

For this collection, Collina Strada’s intuitive energy is translated into a three-dimensional surface. Each rug is hand-tufted from 100% wool onto a sturdy cotton backing. The yarn is then carefully hand-carved to create varying pile heights.

The contrast between a 12 mm low pile and a 17 mm high pile adds depth to the design. This makes the patterns appear to rise from the surface, shifting subtly depending on the light and viewing angle. Furthermore, the varying heights accentuate the fluid movement of the original designs, giving the rug a distinctly tactile and almost architectural character.
