The Artek Zebra cushion cover brings a unique piece of Artek history into the modern interior. The distinctive zebra pattern, rendered in brown and off-white, gives the cushion a graphic look that is bold yet feels surprisingly calm and timeless.
The story behind the Zebra fabric dates back to the 1930s. Aino Aalto discovered the textile—created by an unknown designer—during one of her travels across Europe and brought it back to Finland. Shortly thereafter, the striking animal pattern was added to the Artek collection. Nearly a century later, the historic design makes a comeback, this time in a warm brown colorway.
The fabric is crafted using a double jacquard weaving technique, giving the zebra pattern not only visual interest but also a rich, tactile texture. The blend of virgin wool, cotton, and polyester creates a distinctive look that complements both classic Artek furniture and contemporary interiors beautifully.
The Zebra Cushion Cover is ideal for use on a sofa, lounge chair, or bed. Combine several cushions for a bolder graphic effect, or use a single one as a subtle accent alongside solid-colored fabrics and natural materials.
