The sturdy cast aluminium frame forms a durable base, while the seat made of thermally treated ash wood provides a warm and natural look. The addition of armrests offers extra comfort and support, making the bench perfect for extended dinners and relaxed moments at the table.

Over time, the ash wood develops a natural patina, giving the bench an increasingly rich and authentic character. The clean lines and balanced proportions make the design timeless and versatile – suitable for both private gardens and larger, public outdoor spaces.

About the designer:

Erwan Bouroullec is a French designer and artist based in Paris. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy before founding Studio Bouroullec together with his brother. Together, the design duo has transformed the design industry by offering new perspectives on material selection and functionality, with an international portfolio that includes furniture, architecture, and artwork. Erwan employs a technical-oriented approach to create flexible, functional designs in his collaborations with other artists and creatives on diverse projects. For HAY, he designed the Traverse Collection.
