The bench is constructed from a cast aluminium frame with a seat made of thermally treated ash wood, ensuring a strong, durable structure with a warm appearance. Over time, the wood develops a natural patina, giving the bench increasing character and allowing it to blend harmoniously into its surroundings.

About the designer:

Erwan Bouroullec is a French designer and artist based in Paris. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy before founding Studio Bouroullec together with his brother. Together, the design duo has transformed the design industry by offering new perspectives on material selection and functionality, with an international portfolio that includes furniture, architecture, and artwork. Erwan employs a technical-oriented approach to create flexible, functional designs in his collaborations with other artists and creatives on diverse projects. For HAY, he designed the Traverse Collection.
