The sturdy cast aluminum frame forms the basis of the design, while the seat and backrest made of thermally treated ash wood create a warm and inviting appearance. About the designer:

Erwan Bouroullec is a French designer and artist based in Paris. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy before founding Studio Bouroullec together with his brother. Together, the design duo has transformed the design industry by offering new perspectives on material selection and functionality, with an international portfolio that includes furniture, architecture, and artwork. Erwan employs a technical-oriented approach to create flexible, functional designs in his collaborations with other artists and creatives on diverse projects. For HAY, he designed the Traverse Collection.
