Vaarnii is a Finnish design brand founded in 2021 with a clear mission: reinventing traditional furniture crafts using local materials and craftsmanship. Inspired by the heritage of Finnish woodworking, Vaarnii creates furniture that is as practical as it is authentic—rough, honest, and unmistakably Scandinavian.

The entire collection is crafted in Finland, primarily from Finnish pine—a material rich in character that proudly displays its grain, knots, and imperfections. These natural characteristics are not hidden, but deliberately emphasized as part of the identity of each piece.

The name Vaarnii is a fusion of the Finnish words vaarna (plug) and saarni (ash)—a symbolic reference to the carpenters and craftspeople behind each design, and to the pure, honest materials they work with.

The result is a collection that combines refinement with a raw, almost brutal aesthetic – furniture designed not only to last for generations, but also to tell a story about provenance, material and people.
