Architectmade Aves Birds.

The Aves is a minimalist art object designed by Dutch architect and visual artist Co Derr, who dedicated his life to discovering the essence of the bird form.

In his quest for simplicity, Derr captured the essence of a bird with a single, powerful line – recognizable, pure, and full of meaning.

The Aves is made of solid polished brass and has been specially treated to prevent oxidation. Each sculpture is an ode to nature and the art of omission. Available in three different sizes, each with its own subtle shape, the Aves emphasizes that nothing in nature is exactly the same – not even birds.

About the designer:

Co Derr was trained by Le Corbusier and built an impressive international career. He participated in the 1948 London Olympic Art Exhibition, where he won an Olympic medal for his contribution to art.
