Mette Schelde's designs often have simple constructions and an almost sculptural character, such as this stylish side table. The name Stub is the Danish word for stump and refers to the stubby solid wooden leg that forms a beautiful contrast with the elegant glass table top.

The Stub side table in ash wood has a modest size of 49 cm high. The glass table top lies loosely on the stubby leg and has a diameter of 44.5 cm. The table top has enough weight to remain balanced on the 26 cm wide table leg. This is an ideal side table for next to your armchair, to have a cup of tea at hand while reading or in a corner with a beautiful flower arrangement on it.

The Stub side table in ash wood (2)  or oak. Ash is available in two color versions: clear lacquered ash wood and black lacquered ash wood.

About the designer:

In 2012, Schelde established the studio from where she designs furniture, lighting, and architecture. Her designs are functional and made of simple constructions in a sculptural universe. Schelde combines traditional materials such as wood, glass, and metal with sensual functions. With simple lines and compositions, her studio explores new methods and technologies that point both back and forth between tradition and renewal.
