The Traverse Bench by HAY, designed by Erwan Bouroullec, is a versatile outdoor bench that effortlessly strikes a balance between functionality and refined design. As part of the Traverse Outdoor Collection, this bench is designed to blend harmoniously into any environment – ​​from modern terraces to lush gardens.

The bench is constructed from a cast aluminium frame with a seat made of thermally treated ash wood. This combination ensures a strong and durable structure, while the wood adds a warm, natural look. Through exposure to the elements, the ash wood develops a subtle patina, allowing the bench to become even more beautiful over time.

About the designer:

Erwan Bouroullec is a French designer and artist based in Paris. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy before founding Studio Bouroullec together with his brother. Together, the design duo has transformed the design industry by offering new perspectives on material selection and functionality, with an international portfolio that includes furniture, architecture, and artwork. Erwan employs a technical-oriented approach to create flexible, functional designs in his collaborations with other artists and creatives on diverse projects. For HAY, he designed the Traverse Collection.
