The Alima NDS4 Low Shelving Unit by &Tradition, designed by Note Design Studio, translates the flexible character of the Alima collection into an elongated and low storage unit. With its generous width of 162 cm and a height of just 42 cm, Alima offers ample space to store and display items, while the unit remains visually light and spacious.

The low horizontal shape makes the Alima NDS4 particularly versatile. Place it under a window, along a long wall, or behind the sofa as an elegant console. The design also comes into its own perfectly in the hallway as a low storage unit or bench. The combination of open shelves and the slender frame ensures that Alima integrates easily into various spaces.

The unit is built around a precisely shaped steel frame with a chrome finish. The bottom shelf of perforated steel gives the design a subtle industrial and graphic accent, while the wooden upper sections add warmth. There is a choice of lacquered oak veneer or walnut veneer, both finished with solid wood edges.

The wooden components are made from FSC® 100% certified wood. Additionally, Alima was designed with circularity in mind. The construction makes it easier to repair or renovate parts and to recycle materials responsibly at the end of their lifespan.

The Alima NDS4 aligns with the original concept behind the collection: a flexible system that allows everyday objects to be organized in a practical yet aesthetic way. A functional piece of furniture that can fulfill a different role in various places in the home.

Stockholm-based Note Design Studio works within architecture, interior, and product design. For the Alima collection, the studio drew inspiration from practical situations in daily life and the need for flexible furniture for storing, organizing, and displaying items.
