The comfortable seat is constructed from high-quality variable-density polyurethane foam and a sturdy plywood inner structure. The robust steel base is available in black or dark brown powder-coated steel and forms a powerful contrast with the soft, organic shapes of the seat.

According to Ferrarini, the design originated on an autumn day when he became fascinated by swirling leaves that subtly overlapped one another. This natural movement served as the inspiration for the elegant lines of the Folium series.
