Designed by Finn Juhl.
The FJ Essence teapot by Architectmade is an elegant design by legendary Danish architect Finn Juhl, a key figure in 20th century Danish Modern design. The teapot is made of white porcelain and finished with a hand-glazed coating, which gives the design its refined and timeless appearance.
Finn Juhl designed the original FJ Essence tea set back in 1952, but due to the complex and graceful shapes at the time, the design never went into production. It was not until sixty years later that Architectmade discovered the original drawings and brought the design to life – with respect for Juhl’s vision and sense of form.

About the designer
Finn Juhl (1912–1989) was an influential Danish architect and industrial designer, known worldwide for his sculptural furniture designs. He studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under Kay Fisker, and subsequently worked for Vilhelm Lauritzen, one of the leading architects of the time. In 1945, Juhl opened his own studio in Copenhagen. His work, characterised by flowing lines and organic forms, is among the highlights of Danish design.
The FJ Essence teapot is not only a utilitarian object, but also a tribute to the craftsmanship and vision of one of the grand masters of Scandinavian design.
