The Danish brand New Works presents a collection on the cutting edge of old and new. Light and dark. Design and art. Our work is a tribute to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and material knowledge. We work together with an international group of renowned designers and artists, who show a matching fascination for beautiful shapes and honest materials.
New Works was founded by Nikolaj Meier and Knut Bendik Humlevik in 2015, from the desire to establish a design house where design comes to life with care and intention and where there is room for creative experimentation - a place for new work. While Nikolaj as CEO juggles with numbers and daily activities, Knut Bendik is responsible for the specific look and feel as Creative Director. Together with a small, dedicated team, they went in search of a curated collection of lofty, yet accessible residential objects. It is through this objective that they shape the constantly evolving New Works story.
