A design by the Scandinavian Marie-Louise Hellgren for the Swedish Aspund, this one is
hand tufted on a base of special wool and tencel.

The designer about the design: Geometric patterns and especially round shapes are a recurring item in Marie-Louise Hellgren's designs and the Web carpets are no exception. However, there is a subtle twist to the patterns. If you look closely, you can spot small spontaneous variations on the hand-sketched designs.

For Marie-Louise it is always important that her work contains humor and subtle energy that may seem symmetrical at first glance, but then surprises you with something new every time.​

​”Timeless design together with a sustainable and circular way of thinking has always been important to me. Every piece I create must have a subtle presence and a message, without being obtrusive,” says Marie-Louise.

Web is inspired by the spider web, which is strong, fragile, beautiful, radiant and treacherous at the same time.
