Muuto - The Dots wood hook stained dark brown

The Dots hook is a design by Lars Tornoe for the Danish label Muuto. The Dots Clothing Hooks are beautiful, minimalist and super functional. This hook series consists of four different sizes, of which extra small is the smallest. You can attach the hook to the wall, a door or something else entirely to your liking.

The hook is made of solid oak, ash or walnut. This wood has been selected with great care, for example there should be no knots in the wood. The wood is polished and varnished or a layer of paint in one of the many available colors. By combining different colors and sizes with each other, you can put together your own artwork / pattern, neatly arranged or staggered and colorful over the wall.

The Dots clothes hooks are supplied with a mounting screw each.

This stylish Scandinavian hooks / wardrobe system is just like a piece of art on your wall, even without coats, bags and the like, simply beautiful.

If you are going to hang clothing over it, the dots have rounded edges so that your clothing is treated with the greatest care! (no pointed prints).

Already 21 colors. 

Dimensions: large Ø 17, medium Ø 13, small Ø 9 cm extra small Ø 6.5 cm.

Material is first class oak, for the lacquered versions ash wood, and now there is also the walnut version. You will also receive a mounting screw with each dot.

About the designer:

Lars Tornøe is a Norwegian designer, working within furniture and product design. He has won several awards such as Designer of the Year in Norway and the Award for Design Excellence while his work has been shown at exhibitions around the world and his Dots for Muuto is part of the permanent collection at the Danish Design Center.

On His Design Philosophy:

“I select my ideas very carefully. A concept must give me great motivation—if not, I put it to rest. A lot of my initial ideas include an abstract vision of the expression and personality that the product should communicate. Translating this into physical form is my favorite part of the design process.”
