Inspired by Maija Isola's iconic Marimekko design, the Seireeni carpet is a testament to timeless charm and bold design.

Designed by Isola in the 1960s, the Seireeni pattern is inspired by the designer's travels through Greece and the gentle movement of the warm, crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea.

Created in collaboration with renowned Dutch carpet maker Brink & Campman, the Marimekko carpet has a modern, minimalist look making it an ideal addition to contemporary Scandinavian-style spaces. This rug is carefully hand-tufted from the finest New Zealand wool and features a subdued color palette of cream tones.

About the designer:

Maija Isola (1927-2001) is probably Marimekko's best-known designer. The Finnish artist designed her first printed textiles in 1949 for Printex Oy, the predecessor of Marimekko. Until 1987 she worked as chief designer of Marimekko's interior fabrics. She also had an illustrious career as a visual artist.
