Because the bottom step is retractable, it takes up less space and you can change the ladder from a step ladder to a stool or side table. A short handle is milled under the step so that you can grab it and pull it out and push it back in again.

The minimalist stepladder in solid oak has beautiful slim profiles on all edges allowing the assemblies to be seen, which when you see the Noboru gives a sense of elegant and discreet expression.
