Pholc Meter Floor Lamp.

The latest addition to the collection at Pholc is the Meter collection,
It has a bold and imposing architectural influence, but at the same time it is completely modern in terms of technology and completely handmade.

The dynamic and thought-provoking design is the result of a close collaboration between Pholc Danish design duo Maria Bruun and Anne Dorthe Vester.

Maria Bruun describes one of the first ideas behind the design: “We wanted to create a new one
interpretation of the classic rice paper lamp.
A design that shares its lightness and softness, but with a solid sculptural base. We explored contrasts of materials to create a unique presence and sculptural
reference."

As the name suggests, the collection is based on the 1 meter principle. The designers were given a guideline to produce a floor lamp with a height of
about one meter emitting a soft/friendly and even ambient light. The lamp should also serve as a captivating sculptural piece that sparks
curiosity."

The lamp is available in two sizes: 1 meter and half a meter.
The higher version is ideal as a floor lamp, while the smaller version can be used as a floor lamp or table lamp.

About the designer:

The work of the Danish designer Maria Bruun (b. 1984) is determined by the connection between form and space and the combination of familiar materials in a new way. She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2021 and has designed for companies such as Frederica. Bruun and her work have received numerous awards and recognition, including the Danish Art Foundation's annual Emerging Talent of the Year Award.
