"A work of art for your floor!"
Discover the unique collaboration between artist Heather Chontos and Layered, where expressive art and refined craftsmanship come together in a handmade rug made from 100% New Zealand wool. The result is a soft, durable and visually powerful statement piece for any interior.
Craft & production:
Each rug in this collection is hand-knotted and is the result of 5 to 10 days of craftsmanship by 2 to 3 artisans. By using 10 to 15 different yarn colours and advanced dyeing techniques such as space dyeing, solid dyeing and abrash dyeing, a depth and vibrancy are created that are reminiscent of Chontos’ paintings. After knotting, the yarns are washed separately and the rug is carefully cut to size by hand.
Please note: colours may appear differently in different lighting conditions. Lifestyle photos may differ slightly from the product photos, which are taken in neutral light. We recommend viewing a sample in our showroom for an accurate colour assessment in your own interior.
