The Story Birds are inspired by Kay Bojesen's classic wooden birds, but are given a modern look thanks to their glossy finish and carefully crafted color gradients. Each bird literally wears its emotion on its chest, immortalized on a small name tag with a message in Danish and English.

The Hygge/Cosy variant celebrates warm, intimate moments in good company. The rich earth tones are combined with a playful nod to the characteristic yellow of Nyhavn in Copenhagen. With shades of orange and reddish-brown in the wings and tail, a sienna head, soft yellow beak, and green legs, Hygge/Cosy exudes a sense of security, warmth, and relaxed togetherness.

About the designer:

Kay Bojesen (1886-1958) is one of the most important pioneers of Danish design. Trained as a silversmith in Georg Jensen's workshop, he designed various products in silver, such as cutlery and serving dishes, including his famous Grand Prix cutlery. Kay Bojesen also worked with other materials and was particularly interested in exploring the possibilities of wood.
