Hay Apex Wall Light.

Designer John Tree took inspiration from the classic Banker's Light, and interpreted it with his contemporary colourful twist to create the Apex light collection, featuring a domed steel shade on a sleek chrome base.

Available in a range of colours, the folded steel shade sprayed in solid colour creates vibrant graphic shapes in your home.

Depending on the orientation of the wall bracket, the high-gloss shade can be directed up, down or to the sides, making it ideal for accent lighting around a display shelf or to add a touch of ambient warmth to a blank wall.

The shade rotates 360 degrees, making it easy to direct the light where it is needed. The colour of the shade is central to the design, and contrasts beautifully with the chrome base.

About the designer:

British-born John Tree is a product and furniture designer based in London. A graduate of Kingston University, he worked for FM Design before developing products for the Sony Design team in their Tokyo, San Francisco and London offices.

John then joined Jasper Morrison's studio, before opening his own office in 2016. He currently divides his time between Jasper’s studio and his own, where he pushes and explores industrial processes to create contract and residential furniture, lighting, accessories and electronics. His work has been featured in a number of international publications and has won several prestigious design awards.
