The designer John Tree took inspiration from the classic Banker's Light, and interpreted it with his contemporary colorful approach to create the Apex lamp collection, characterized by a roof-shaped steel shade on a slim chrome base.

The Apex series consists of a Clip lamp, desk Clip lamp, desk Clip lamp and a table Clip lamp, so that you can use it in different rooms in your home.

The shade can be rotated 360 degrees, making it easy to direct the light where it is needed at the time. The color of the shade is central to the design, and forms a nice contrast to the chrome base.

About the designer:

British-born John Tree is a product and furniture designer based in London. A graduate of Kingston University, he worked for FM Design before developing products for the Sony Design team in the Tokyo, San Francisco and London offices.

John then joined Jasper Morrison's studio before opening his own office in 2016. He currently divides his time between Jasper's studio and his own, pushing and exploring industrial processes to create contract and residential furniture, lighting, accessories and electronics. His work has been widely reported in a number of international publications and has won several prestigious design awards.
