The Fritz Hansen Grand Prix dining chair, designed by the well-known Danish designer Arne Jacobsen in 1957, has a bold, geometric shape. 

The Grand Prix was first introduced at Jacobsen's spring exhibition at the Danish Museum of Art & Design, in Copenhagen 1957. Later that year, the chair was exhibited at the Triennale in Milan, where the chair received the Grand Prix award. gives the chair its name.
