The Tom Dixon Flare Bead pendant lamp is a sculptural design hanging lamp in which mouth-blown glass, a mirror finish and innovative lighting technology come together. With its elegant drop shape and high-gloss silver surface, Flare Bead is a striking light object that reflects its surroundings in a special way.

The lamp is made from hand-blown borosilicate glass, which is then metallized to create the characteristic mirrored silver finish. The reflective surface captures light, colors and movements from space and displays them subtly distorted. This creates a fascinating interplay between the object and its environment.

The organic drop shape gives the Flare Bead a refined and almost liquid appearance. During the day, the hanging lamp functions as a decorative mirror object, while the integrated LED lighting provides a warm light emission in the evening.

With a height of 34.4 cm and a diameter of 23.5 cm, the Flare Bead has a compact but expressive silhouette. The generous 350 cm textile cable also offers plenty of options for use in rooms with high ceilings.

Hang the Flare Bead individually above a dining table, kitchen island or side table for a subtle design statement. For a more impressive effect, several lamps at different heights can be combined to form a sculptural light installation. A special choice for a loft, stairwell, restaurant, hotel lobby or other representative space.

Mouth-blown glass with a mirror finish

The Flare Bead is made from borosilicate glass, which is blown into its characteristic drop shape by mouth. The glass then gets its high-gloss silver surface through a metallization process.

This special finish creates an almost mirror effect, where the environment is reflected in a playful way. The round shapes create subtle distortions in the reflection and give the lamp a dynamic character.

The result is a refined light object that has a special presence both with and without the lighting switched on.

Warm LED light and a sculptural appearance

The Tom Dixon Flare Bead is equipped with an integrated, replaceable 6W LED module. With a color temperature of 3000 Kelvin, the lamp emits warm white light that is suitable for a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

The LED module has a light output of 800 lumens and a specified lifespan of 50,000 hours. The module is also available as a spare part from the manufacturer.
