Blox Candlestick.

The Blox Candle Holder by Normann Copenhagen, designed by Ilja Huber, is a sculptural candle holder in which natural materials, geometry and a playful sense of composition come together. The combination of marble, travertine and stainless steel gives Blox a distinctive character and makes the candlestick a special decorative object, even without a candle.

The design consists of several solid cylindrical shapes made of natural stone that can be rotated around a central axis made of stainless steel. This allows the composition to be adjusted again and again. Place the elements tightly above each other for a graphic look or rotate them relative to each other for a more playful and dynamic silhouette.

The different types of stone give each Blox Candle Holder a unique character. Natural veins, color nuances and small differences in the surface are inherent to marble and travertine and ensure that no two specimens are completely the same. The warm red tones form a nice contrast with the cool stainless steel.

With its compact dimensions of 7 x 7 x 20 cm, Blox is easy to place at home on a dining table, sideboard, side table or open cupboard. With a candle he creates an attractive light object; without a candle, the sculptural quality of the design comes into its own.

Designer Ilja Huber plays with the relationship between material, form and movement in the Blox Candle Holder. The simple geometric building blocks acquire an interactive character thanks to their rotatable construction, allowing the user to influence the final composition.
