The Muuto Coltre Modular Sofa is a contemporary interpretation of comfort, form, and flexibility. Designed by the Milanese Studiopepe, Coltre combines a soft, quilted appearance with a powerful architectural silhouette. The name Coltre, Italian for blanket, refers to the comfortable, quilted upholstery that appears to drape like a soft layer over the refined wooden frame.

The distinctive stitching creates a subtle rhythm across the surface and gives the sofa a rich, voluminous character. From every angle, Coltre displays a carefully constructed interplay of layers, giving the design a sculptural appearance that fits perfectly within modern residential and commercial interiors.

This Configuration 4, finished in the refined Turf Sand fabric, consists of a 135-degree corner module combined with two middle modules. This creates an inviting seating arrangement where comfort and design come together seamlessly. Thanks to the modular design, the individual elements can also be used separately or easily expanded later with other Coltre modules.

The frame is crafted from FSC™-certified wood (FSC-C028824) and features metal Nosag springs for durable and comfortable seating. The generous foam padding and the characteristic quilted top layer ensure a pleasant, soft seating experience, while the removable fabric cover can be easily replaced when desired. The modules are securely connected to each other by pre-assembled steel couplings around the solid beech wood legs.

Maintenance

To maintain the characteristic, soft appearance of the padded top layer, it is recommended to gently fluff it regularly. Any creases in the tightly stretched underlay can easily be smoothed out by hand. Always consult the care instructions of the respective fabric manufacturer for cleaning the upholstery.
