The Vind Outdoor Chair by Fritz Hansen, designed by Kasper Salto, combines a light, sculptural form with durable outdoor comfort. The series is inspired by the elegant lines of sails and the maritime landscape surrounding the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark.

The chair has a sleek, powder-coated aluminum frame and a hand-woven seat made of strong polyester cord. The minimalist, armless design emphasizes the chair's airy appearance while providing comfort and flexibility. Thanks to its lightweight and stackable design, the Vind chair is ideal for patios, gardens, and hospitality settings.

Available in two natural shades: Mist Grey and Hunter Green.

About the designer – Kasper Salto

Kasper Salto is one of Denmark's most influential contemporary designers. His work is characterized by a refined balance between minimalist lines, organic forms, and functional comfort.

After training as a furniture maker in the 1980s, Salto studied industrial design at the Royal Danish Academy and the Art Centre College of Design in Switzerland. His designs are deeply rooted in Danish design tradition, yet simultaneously enriched with international influences from industrial design.

For Fritz Hansen, he designed, among other things, the Pluralis™ table, the Little Friend™ side table, and the NAP™ chair collection. His work has received prestigious awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, Le Grand Prix du Design, and the title of Danish Designer of the Year.

Materials and natural textures play a central role in Salto's designs. The colors, patterns, and shapes found in nature often form the starting point for his human-centered and timeless designs.
