The Pedrera Coffee Table gets a refined update with three textured glass tops that add color and subtle texture to the iconic 1955 design by Spanish architect Barba Corsini.
The new glass tops—available in Transparent, Smoke, and Bronze—bring added depth and a rich play of light to the design, without detracting from its original elegance. The textured glass adds a tactile dimension and enhances the table's sculptural character.
A timeless design classic, reinterpreted for the contemporary interior.
More: The Pedrera coffee table by GUBI has its origins in one of Barcelona's most iconic buildings: Antoni Gaudi's La Pedrera. In 1955, architect Barba Corsini was commissioned to transform the building's attic—formerly a storage space—into modern apartments. He designed not only the apartments but also the furniture. This resulted in the Pedrera table, which has since become a modernist classic.
The table combines a sleek steel frame with an organically shaped glass top that reflects the undulating lines of Gaudí's architecture. In this version, the top is crafted from textured, through-and-through colored glass with a subtle relief reminiscent of rippling water. Light is softly filtered through the glass, further accentuating the sculptural character of the base.
The result is a coffee table that is simultaneously airy and expressive—a refined statement in both modern and classic interiors. Perfect for combining with other designs in the Pedrera series, yet powerful enough to stand out on its own.
