The Little Petra lounge chair by &Tradition captivates with its compact shape, flowing lines, and luxurious sheepskin upholstery. Designed by Danish architect Viggo Boesen, the armchair was first presented in 1938 at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition—a moment when its warm, inviting character immediately caught the eye. Named after Boesen’s mother-in-law, Petra, the chair embodies the soft, organic style of Danish funkis design from the 1930s.
Originally, only about thirty of the Little Petra were produced, making it a rare collector’s item for years. Thanks to &Tradition’s reissue, this iconic design is now once again available to design enthusiasts worldwide—while retaining its original craftsmanship and comfort.
The armchair rests on an elegant walnut base and has a sturdy construction of solid beech and plywood. The seat and backrest are filled with HR foam and polyester wadding, ensuring optimal comfort and support.
