The JG coffee table is an iconic masterpiece of minimalism.
The JG coffee table by Fredericia, designed by Jørgen Gammelgaard, is a paragon of thoughtful design and timeless elegance. The first sketches date back to 1962, but the design wasn't launched in its final form until 1973 – the result of more than a decade of refinement.
At a time when four legs were the norm, Gammelgaard opted for an innovative approach: a light, tempered glass top rests on a base of geometrically shaped, brushed aluminum. The sharp lines of the base contrast beautifully with the transparency of the top – a subtle statement in any room.
