The Series 7™ chair is more than just a chair – it's a design statement. Designed in 1955 by Arne Jacobsen, it remains one of the most recognizable icons of modern furniture to this day. The flowing, organic form feels timeless: present without being dominant, characterful yet effortlessly combinable.
The seat is constructed from nine layers of pressed veneer, creating an exceptional balance of strength, flexibility, and durability. Sleek in silhouette, robust in use. It's no wonder this is the most beloved chair design in the Fritz Hansen collection.
The 3107 model stands on elegant yet robust tubular steel legs that subtly follow the curved profile of the seat. The legs extend just beyond the edge – a thoughtful detail that allows the chairs to be easily stacked or arranged in neat rows. The mounting under the seat has been deliberately reduced to a discreet round disc, fully preserving the minimalist lines of Jacobsen's design.
This variant has a seat made of Edge sewn, Embossed harness leather / Slate Grey. Chrome shiny legs. Standard plastic gliders. Dimensions: Height: 82 cm x Width: 50 cm x Depth: 52 cm. The seat height: 46cm

About the designer:
The story goes that as a child, Arne Jacobsen painted over the Victorian wallpaper in his bedroom. Not with children's drawings, not in playful colors—but completely white. At a time when white walls were anything but commonplace, he was already making a radical aesthetic statement.
That choice characterizes his work to this day: progressive, uncompromising, and clear. Jacobsen didn't design trends; he shifted them. The Series 7™ is living proof of that—a chair that has endured for decades and still fits perfectly into today's interiors.
