The Flaneur Lounge Chair by GUBI, designed by the Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi, combines classic elegance with a distinctly contemporary look. The 2019 design is inspired by the traditional English rocking armchair but translated into the refined design language for which GamFratesi is known: Scandinavian clarity combined with Italian luxury and comfort.

The Flaneur is characterized by its low, generous silhouette, soft curves, and clean geometry. The wide armrests flow elegantly into the backrest, giving the lounge chair its characteristic, inviting appearance. Despite its generous dimensions, the design looks calm and architectural, allowing the Flaneur to come into its own beautifully in both modern and more classic interiors.

This version is upholstered in GUBI Bouclé 001 in cream. The soft, richly textured bouclé fabric emphasizes the chair's rounded forms and gives the design a warm and luxurious look. The subtle matte black metal legs create a beautiful graphic contrast and make the chair appear to float slightly above the floor.
