The Kvartsi rug from Finarte brings a bold dose of modern Finnish design to your interior. Designed by the design duo Juslin Maunula, this hand-tufted rug features an intriguing geometric pattern created by the pleated surface. The direction of the pleats varies from segment to segment, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow—both visually and tactilely a truly immersive experience.

As is typical of Juslin Maunula, inspiration comes from fashion and architecture—particularly pleated fabrics and grooved stone or tiles. The color composition and structure reference the work of color theorist Josef Albers and architect Carlo Scarpa, whose preference for the natural stone quartz is reflected in the rug's name: Kvartsi means quartz in Finnish.

The rug is handmade in India and is part of Finarte's Galleria collection.
