Charles and Ray Eames are among the most influential designers of the 20th century. The Eames Furniture Sourcebook offers a comprehensive overview of their furniture designs, including milestones in design history such as their plywood furniture, wire or plastic chairs, the aluminum group or the legendary lounge chair.

With highly detailed texts and extensive visual material, the book reconstructs the genesis of the designer couple's furniture, explains the innovative use of materials and techniques by the Eames and analyzes the significance of their work in the context of that time.

The book is based on the Eames Collection in the Vitra Design Museum, the largest collection of Eames furniture in the world. It contains a large part of the prototypes, experiments and study models of the Eames Office, as well as many other key works by the two designers.
