The Dot stool by Fritz Hansen has become a Danish design classic and was created by Arne Jacobsen, it was first presented in the 1950s together with the already legendary Ant chair.

About the designer

Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) is the most famous post-war Danish designer and architect. He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in 1924 and from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1927, where he studied architecture. Arne Jacobsen worked actively as an architect and as a designer and received many prestigious awards for his designs, including CF Hansen Medal and the Grand Prix of Milan XI Triennale.
