About the designer:

George Sowden (1942) is a British designer with a background in architecture. In the 1970s, Sowden moved to Milan to work with names such as Ettore Sottsass and Olivetti, and in the 1980s he became a founding member of the Memphis Group design movement. In 2010, Sowden developed the popular SoftBrew coffee and tea maker.
