The vase by Cecilie Manz made for Fritz Hansen, is produced in Seto, Japan. The Seto is the heart of the Japanese pottery making tradition

Each vase is made by hand from clay, covered with a ceramic glaze and baked in the oven. Each vase is therefore unique and has its own specific details.

About the designer:

After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - The School of Design in 1997 with additional studies at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki, Cecilie Manz founded her own studio in Copenhagen in 1998.
