Industrial craftsmanship meets contemporary design.
Tonone is a Dutch design label known since 2013 for its bold, functional lighting, which combines traditional mechanics and modern design. Founder Anton de Groof draws inspiration from classic craft tools and mechanical principles. This fascination is the common thread throughout the entire collection and gives Tonone its distinctive industrial signature.
The Tonone design team transforms mechanical elements into high-quality, innovative lamps with a robust look. Each design is characterized by simplicity, strength, and a no-nonsense approach. From hinge constructions to visible craftsmanship: the mechanism is not just a detail; it forms both the visual identity and the functional foundation of each model.
All products are manufactured in collaboration with local craftsmen. Every step—from design to production—is carried out with the utmost care, precision, and attention to materials and finish. This results in a collection that is not only robust and aesthetically pleasing, but also built to last. Tonone stands for pure, industrial design that visibly celebrates technology and craftsmanship – a powerful statement in any interior.
