The iconic Montana 1112 bookcase reveals its most expressive side in 197 Extreme Lilac. This distinctive color is part of the exclusive Colour Archive Limited Edition, in which Montana reintroduces three special shades from its own color archive.
Extreme Lilac gives the minimalist design of the 1112 a fresh, colorful, and almost graphic look. The intense lilac hue makes the bookcase not only a practical storage solution but also a striking design object on the wall.
The Colour Archive collection aligns with the colorful design philosophy of Montana founder Peter J. Lassen. His vision of color was shaped in part by his friendship and creative dialogue with Verner Panton, who was known for his bold use of color and his conviction that color can completely transform the experience of a space.
The Montana 1112 is a classic within the modular Montana System. The four open compartments offer space for books, magazines, art objects, and favorite accessories. Thanks to the clean lines and balanced proportions, the design remains calm, whereas Extreme Lilac provides a powerful color accent.
This version has a depth of 38 cm and comes standard with a hanging rail. This allows the cabinet to be mounted floating on the wall, giving the design a light and modern look.
The 197 Extreme Lilac version is available for a limited time only. Along with Montparnasse and Boulevard, this archive color is exclusively available for the Montana 1112 from June 2026 through June 2027.
