Amanta 3 Seater Sofa

HAY Amanta 3-Seater Sofa – Mario Bellini.

The HAY Amanta 3-Seater Sofa revives an iconic design by Italian architect and designer Mario Bellini. Originally conceived as a modular seating system, the Amanta is a prime example of Italian design, blending innovative manufacturing techniques, generous proportions, and flexibility.

For this re-edition, HAY remains faithful to the distinctive character of Bellini's design while incorporating contemporary materials. The 3-seater sofa comprises three separate Amanta modules joined together to form a spacious, unified sofa. The modules can also be detached by removing the legs and connecting elements between the units and then reattaching the legs.

A defining feature of the Amanta is its bold, glossy ABS outer shell, made from at least 99% post-consumer recycled material. This sculptural shell creates a striking contrast with the soft, generous seat and back cushions, lending the sofa its characteristic retro-futuristic aesthetic.
To ensure comfort, the cushions are built around a molded plywood base and feature foam containing at least 87% biomass-balanced content.

The combination of the sturdy outer shell and soft upholstery creates the dynamic interplay that makes the Amanta design so instantly recognizable.
With a width of 238 cm, the Amanta 3-Seater offers ample seating space, while its relatively low profile of 69 cm creates a relaxed, horizontal silhouette. A standout designer sofa for your living room.
