A chair that not only offers seating comfort but also makes a statement. The Heart Cone Chair by designer Verner Panton is one of the most expressive designs in the history of modern design. With its iconic heart shape and sculptural lines, the design reflects Panton's fascination with geometry and his desire to combine functionality with emotion.
In the early 1960s, Vitra began collaborating with Panton to bring his visionary ideas to life. This collaboration resulted, among other things, in the revolutionary Panton Chair—the first cantilever chair made from a single piece of material. To this day, Vitra continues to work closely with the Panton family and Verner Panton Design AG to preserve and further develop his iconic designs.
To mark what would have been Verner Panton's 100th birthday on February 13, 2026, Vitra and Verner Panton Design AG are presenting an exclusive limited edition of the Heart Cone Chair. This special version features a two-tone design: the front and back are finished in two different shades of blue. This subtle contrast enhances the chair's dynamic shape and makes it a true eye-catcher in any interior.
