Originally known as the Switch Light, the lamp has a pleasant and functional design consisting of a cylindrical base and a simple opal glass sphere.

The base also works as an integrated light switch: when turned clockwise, the LED light turns on and continues to brighten, and when turned counterclockwise, it dims and gradually turns off.

About the designer:

Joel Hoff is a German designer who graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Design Products. His graduation project Switch Light won the Hay Talent Award and was launched the following year under the name Turn On by Wrong for Hay. The light was also the Social Vote winner of the Designs of the Year organized by the Design Museum in London.
