The Tung side table by &Tradition, designed by John Astbury, is a subtle eye-catcher with architectural character. The round tabletop rests on three sturdy, columnar legs, giving the table a powerful and sculptural presence.

Made of solid MDF with a high-gloss finish, the Tung combines a graceful, refined look with a bold, monolithic strength. About the designer.

John Astbury is an English-born, Sweden-based designer with a diverse background as an anthropologist, boat builder, and musician. Astbury graduated in industrial design from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in 2011 and established his own studio in Stockholm in 2014. He finds inspiration in archetypes and origins and describes his work as a "process of discovering stories and symbols within the object and making them visible." Astbury has collaborated with design companies such as Skagerak, Muuto, and &Tradition.
