The HAY Prism Lampshade is a modern interpretation of the classic paper lampshade, inspired by the soft, atmospheric glow of Asian rice paper lanterns. With its elongated shape and lightweight construction, Prism introduces a subtle sculptural element to the interior.

The lampshade is crafted from thin white paper supported by a ribbed structure of bamboo and iron. When illuminated, the paper diffuses the light softly. Even when the light is off, the shade’s graphic structure remains a decorative feature of the room.

Standing an impressive 110 cm tall with a diameter of 40 cm, Prism boasts a striking vertical silhouette. Despite its generous size, the use of lightweight paper and a fine ribbed structure gives the lampshade an airy, refined appearance.

Prism works beautifully as a standalone pendant light but is also ideal for creating a composition with multiple HAY paper lampshades. By combining different shapes and sizes at varying heights, you can create a playful, almost floating lighting feature—perfect for hanging above a dining table, in a double-height space, or in a spacious entryway.
