The Marimekko Unikko rug is a tribute to one of the most iconic patterns in design history. Designed by Maija Isola in 1964, the famous Unikko motif emerged as a bold response to Marimekko founder Armi Ratia's declaration that floral prints would no longer be produced. Isola then designed a whole series of expressive floral motifs – from which Unikko became a global symbol of optimism and creativity.
In collaboration with renowned Dutch carpet weavers Brink & Campman, this rug is crafted from 100% New Zealand wool. The hand-tufted design features the signature poppy in vibrant shades of orange, white, and black – a true eye-catcher that brings warmth and character to any room.
Whether you place it in the hallway, living room, or office, the Unikko rug brings a touch of artistic energy and a touch of Finnish design history to your home. Brand: Marimekko × Brink & Campman.
