The charming Fritz Hansen Maluma pendant lamp by Fumie Shibata consists of a frosted glass chalice in different colors and a suspension in a matching colour.

The fine colored frosted glass filters the light in a soft, atmospheric way, while the open bottom provides a direct downward light - this double function makes Maluma perfect both above the dining table and in, for example, the bedroom or living room where you may prefer mood lighting.

The glass sphere of the Maluma pendant lamp is mouth-blown, which means that the shade and thickness may vary slightly from fixture to fixture. Inherent in handmade glass items is that they may contain small air bubbles or other differences that add to the unique beauty of the item and make it a truly unique piece.

Care instructions:
Wipe off dust with a dry, soft cloth. Remove stains with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water with a mild detergent added. Do not use cleaners containing abrasives or solvents.

About the designer:

Fumie Shibata is an award-winning Japanese designer and founder of Design Studio S. A graduate of Musashino Art University, Shibata has collaborated with numerous Japanese brands such as Kinto and Muji.

In addition, Shibata has designed products for, among others, the Danish brands Holmegaard and Fritz Hansen. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, such as the iF Gold Award and the Red Dot Design Award, and she has also chaired the jury at the Good Design Awards from 2018 to 2019.
