To celebrate the 70th anniversary of one of Arne Jacobsen’s most iconic designs, Fritz Hansen presents the exclusive 7:14 AM Colour Edition of the Series 7 3107 chair. Released in 2025, this special edition is inspired by the serene morning light in Denmark – precisely at 7:14 am on an autumn morning, when the Northern Lights are at their softest and most enchanting.

Design & materials:
The Series 7 chair features a nine-layer seat made of bent, lacquered ash veneer. The ergonomic design offers flexibility and comfort, while the base, made of semi-recycled steel, is finished with a unique zinc chromate coating. This coating creates a subtle iridescent rainbow effect that develops a beautiful patina over time, giving each chair its own character.

Colours & appearance:
The chair exudes calm and elegance in a soft hue, subtly combined with the warm sheen of the metal frame. The design captures the magic of early Nordic mornings and brings this atmosphere into any modern interior.

About the designer
Arne Jacobsen (1902–1971) is one of the most celebrated post-war Danish architects and designers. He studied at the School of Applied Arts and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and has received numerous prestigious awards, including the C. F. Hansen Medal and the Grand Prix at the XIth Milan Triennale. His work is characterized by a perfect balance between functionality, aesthetics and forward-thinking design.
