The Pholc Concave 10 Pendant Lamp is a sophisticated designer piece that brings together sculptural forms, industrial details, and innovative lighting. Created by Scottish-Swedish designer Nick Ross, the Concave combines a bold geometric silhouette with a unique approach to light distribution. It is a compact, architectural design that provides functional illumination while adding atmosphere and character to any interior.

Crafted from anodized aluminum, the lamp features a distinctive shape: a cylindrical base paired with a square top defined by subtle, concave curves. Its satin-matte surface catches the light softly, lending the lamp a refined luster without any distracting glare.

The cylindrical base casts a focused beam downward—perfect for illuminating a dining table, countertop, or kitchen island—while the concave top reflects light toward the ceiling, creating a subtle, warm glow around the fixture.

It shines as a standalone light object, but is also designed to be grouped together; multiple units can be arranged in a rhythmic composition above a long dining table, kitchen bar, or island. The cylindrical lower section casts a focused, narrow beam of light downward, providing effective, functional illumination for areas such as a dining table or kitchen counter.

The light intensity gradually diminishes toward the edges, minimizing harsh transitions and sharp shadows.

The square upper section, featuring concave curves, captures and directs light toward the ceiling. This creates a soft glow around the fixture, adding depth and atmosphere to the space.

The Concave collection marks the first collaboration between Nick Ross and Pholc. Furthermore, these are the designer’s first-ever lamp designs.
