The cup is made of sturdy porcelain and is produced in a traditional porcelain factory. It is dishwasher and microwave safe, as well as food safe.

Alexander Girard is known as a defining figure in American post-war design. The American was born in 1907. Girard originally studied architecture, but over the course of his career worked as a furniture, graphic, exhibition and interior designer. Textile design was central to his work, abstract, geometric shapes and a multitude of color constellations are examples of his work.
