The name Burra is short for "burrata", the round Italian cheese known for its creaminess: Burra invites you to curl up in its voluptuous design, with its round, prominent seat, full upholstery, soft curves and wraparound armrests that provide absolute seating comfort.

Burra is made for maximum comfort. Inside, a steel reinforcement structure provides stability and firmness, while a combination of elastic bands, hard molded foam and soft molded foam ensures soft seating comfort.

About the designer:

Simon Legald studies design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and graduates in the summer of 2012. His work consists of both small and large-scale products.

“Honesty makes a product understandable and describes the functionality of the products. If you understand the product, it needs no explanation. The essence of my design is that it is bought and used.

Therefore, it must meet not only the functional aspects, but also the psychological and aesthetic needs. For me, simplicity describes the true identity of objects and makes them reliable. In my designs I try not to add unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by highlighting the essentials instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest look.”
